Thought id share this with you; it’s a song I wrote about over a year ago. I had spent the morning and most of the day sitting, dwelling on who I was before Christ and who I am now in Christ. As I gazed upon Him gratitude and peace flowed through my mind and heart. With my guitar resting in my lap having just finished reading my bible, I felt a song rise from the depths of my soul. I knew it was definitely for me because it’s part of my story, but it is a song for many as well. A song for the wanderer, A song for the lost, it is a song for the sinner searching for the way to life. As I sat continually in His presence, the Holy Spirit led me into the melody and words that eventually outpoured onto the sheet of paper. Back when Jesus radically changed my life and I could then see His wonder and glory for the first time, I knew I was no longer living in black and white but walking in living color and in His marvelous light. Everything was illuminated by His Spirit. I could then see His love working through me and others. My heart then wanted to tell everyone who didn’t know about the beautiful love and grace of Jesus that salvation is in Him.
As I was recapping this song, I thought about The World Race and my squad and how it is so fitting because I know God has placed In our hearts the burning desire to share our Father’s great love with all who are thirsty. To lead many to the well of salvation and watch them taste and see just how good God really is. It’s not enough to know God just in our heads but to honestly know Him in our hearts and be changed. It is also a prayer for God to lead us as a squad to see the wonders of His power and glory. Watching His sovereign handwork throughout our lives and those in need in other countries. It’s so fulfilling to observe God’s Spirit take ahold of someone’s life when they finally come to the end of themselves only to find that there truly is a treasure in the wreckage, and its, JESUS!
