My name is Travis Foster from Pennsylvania. I’m 31yrs old and currently serve as an urban missionary at a ministry called New Hope Philly. Jesus is my all and all. Music is my passion, and worshiping my Savior is life to me. I find myself the most fulfilled while I’m serving others and showing the love of Christ. I also enjoy spending time in nature, running, and working out. I love a good laugh and hanging out with friends.
Why the World Race? God has been preparing me to preach the Gospel to unreached people. He constantly reminds me to tell others about the freedom and hope found in Christ. As I was praying about The World Race, the Lord spoke to me through these verses.
Isaiah 61:1
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.”
Romans 15:20-21
“My ambition has always been to preach the Good News where the name of Christ has never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else. I have been following the plan spoken of in the Scriptures, where it says, “Those who have never been told about him will see, and those who have never heard of him will understand.””
I know by the power of the Holy Spirit, He will lead, guide, and equip me to do the work I’ve been called to do. Jesus has set me free. For that, I am compelled to go and tell others what has happened in my life.
The listed regions we will journey into are Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Western Europe, and Eastern Europe.
All prayers and support are greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping me to be a city on a hill and a light to the gentiles!
God bless you!
